PIET HEIN Silver Plate Super Egg with Box and papers Denmark Vintage 1960
This was designed by the Danish designer Piet Hein in 1965 and manufactured by Skjøde in Denmark.
It was intended to be used as a drink cooler. The egg is in very good good condition with surface wear from use and a patina appropriate for its age. The original box, booklet and several pamphlets are included. The box has a stain on one side.
The egg was purchased in the late 60's in Switzerland and has been part of a private collection of bar accessories in the United States.
